Welcome

Hello there and welcome to my new photography blog, feel free to have a gander around. Although I have other blogs online this is specifically for my photography where I hope to display my work in an informal and approachable way. I am available for weddings and all other events but as well as this I can create imaginative Photoshop creations and artistic imagery as well as just photos. 

I have also transferred all the old posts from Colette McNamara Photography blog so now they are all in one place.

A Little Mention In The Irish Times

I came across this by complete and utter accident this morning, myself and a few classmates from this years final year graduate exhibition in Limerick School of Art and Design got a mention, Weeeeee!!! “LIMERICK SCHOOL of Art and Design has benefited from the refurbishment and enhancement of its Clare St campus and it too had a fine graduation show. The print department in Limerick is usually adventurous and so it proved this year. Lizanne Murphy’s photographic evocations of childhood – another art school favourite – were atmospherically rich and, in a good way, uncanny. Colette McNamara spied on the spies with an inventory of surveillance cameras. Patrick Fitzpatrick’s fine photographic and video works considered the transcendent quality of natural imagery. Evelyn Glynn explored the legacy of maltreatment in institutional spaces very well. In general, the conceptual ambition of projects in print was noticeable.”

Now Available For Wedding & Other Events

Yes, I am looking for any weddings, communions, confirmations, christenings or whatever that are looking for a photographer over the summer and in the coming year, I just want to get the word out there if any of you could help spread it 

I am competitively priced, approachable at any time and can travel anywhere in Ireland. Meetings with the couple prior to the big day is standard and never a problem should anyone be freaking out and need to call me at 4am for random questions of the pictures…. thats alright too !

So if you or anyone you know could use and abuse me, im all for it! 

I will be adding up to date wedding photos to my galleries and will be launching a proper website very soon.

Cross Processing

Some photos I have taken with out of date Fuji Velvia film, and instead of processing the film in E6 slide as it should be for proper images because of the quality of film, it should be processed differently using specialised chemicals for the E6 Slide film. Instead I got it processed in C41 which is the regular processing that is done for normal everyday labs for normal everyday film, and this is called cross processing, the results are vibrant!

 

Tausche Bag Design Winner (2008)

Recently I entered the 2008 Tausche bag design competition. To my surprise I ended up one of the winners, there was 7 of us and I was the only non German! This is the original image that made it onto the bag. Simpely called ‘Rain TTV’ it was one of the images I produced for my 3rd year college project.

Also as a nice surprise they sent me the flap with my design on it for the bag I won as a prize for being one of the winners which I recieved in the post the other day.

This flap design can now be purchased for all the Tausche bags on their website allong with the other winners, I am so delighted with it
